  • Maria Miller blatantly lying. Typical Tory. Nye Bevan was right about them.

  • DLA is NOT a benefit for live with no reassessment. Many cawards are for a limited period and have to be reassesed. She should get her facts right. ALL lifetime awards from tribunals SHOULD be left alone. If someone has a degenerative condition it's NEVER going to improve so why waste money on unecessary assesment.

DLA does need to be looked at but in a way that makes it FAIR to disabled people!

  • tories parasites the lot of them .

  • The current arrangements for paying for "assessments" must be horrifically expensive. I cannot think of a greater waste of money than ATOS. Moreover, when they get the decisions wrong, whu does the Government not fine them? If we do something wrong as citizens, are we not fined? Would this not make them reassess their criteria?

  • Mason Dixon, Autistic here(see below, that's meh name). Maria Miller when she mentions the £600 million in overpayments is relying on the 2004/05 National Benefit Review. Why so old? Why not commission a new one before making plans? Because Labour did tighten up certain DLA eligibility and it's likely the overpayments are now considerably less. Less 'lifetime' DLA awards are given out now. Oh that plus the NBR has terrible sample quality control. Wibble to all.

  • The Minister against people with Disability ~ Maria Miller saying absolute rubbish about everyone being on lifetime awards...she surely isn't talking from ignorance?

Well done Suey, thank you for the work you do for us all...love and hugs xxx

  • Oops caps. In fact I take that back, monkeys would be far more competent at face to face assessments that the current arrangement

  • bUT YOUR FACE TO FACE ASSESSMENTS ARE CONDUCTED BY MONKEYS MILLER!

  • Maria is not being truthful here, there is a a built in reassessment, my own mum is currently going through reassessment. The only cases where reassessment doesn't apply is to those whose condition is permanent and likely to worsen or not improve.
