Use floats and margins to create a typical 2-column layout with a header and footer section. Then, use a clear property to ensure that the footer is always at the bottom.

  • I just followed your example and the navbar floated to the left but my "maincontent" div is underneath the navbar and expanded to the right. I typed lots of text which showed at the right of navbar and at some point the maincontent text wrapped even come to the left under the navbar.

    How can I fix this? thanks.
