It could go either way. It's probably ok if you're already proficient on a simulator, but you'll definitely want to start with calm conditions. The proprietary radio works well, but there's no provision for a buddy cord. It's tough enough that you can prang it a few times without too much worry of breaking it. However, some beginners can be really tough on airplanes. All said, I think your chances of success would be better with a bigger plane and buddy box.

@FLYRCmagazine Hi, Would you recommend this for beginners. I want to learn to fly RC and wanted to know if this would make a good first plane.
