This is me on a CZ452 2E ZKM 16" .22LR with a factory threaded barrel hitting a man sized steel sillhouette at 400yds. I miss the 1st, 2nd, and 6th shots out of the 10 rnd mag. The rest are hits. You may need to turn up the volume but you can hear the "ting" of the steel. The target is between the orange arrows and maybe another 70-80 yds past them in the shade. I don't think you can see it in the video. .22LR ammo (especially bulk ammo like the 550rnd pack of Federal I was using) is commonly inconsistent. The wind was blowing at about 5-8 MPH and gusting up to 13MPH as well...which will toss around a little 36gr bullet that's barely supersonic. I was surprised how easy it was to make these hits though. I'd like to push it out to 500yds on a calm day some time just to see where the limit of consistency is. FYI, my aiming reference was a bush just on the horizion and the target itself was down in the shade just above the orange left and right limit markers that look like this:

  • Avoid the junk they sell at Walmart like "Rocky Mount" and any other Chinese knockoffs. They will self destruct after a few months of light use. Spend $70 on a Harris and get one that'll last forever.

  • It's just a Harris 6-9" swivel model. They aren't too expensive and work well.

  • How did you get the bolt to be so damn buttery - smooth ?

  • @P51DFreak25 They sell them at walmart now for around $40. It looks a lot like the one this guy has in the video.

  • Great shootin'. Where did you get the bipod?

  • Looks like a fun day

  • You make it look easy!! Nice shooting.

  • lol! At 400 yards the Federal 38gr Copper HP load has over 21 FEET of drop and hits at 721 fps.

At 500 yards it's over 38 feet and 655 fps.

    Wind drift @ only 5mph is about 36" at 400 and 54" at 500.

(If you can't tell, I, too, enjoy long range rimfire shooting at steel.)

  • cool video man!!
