  • the concept is referred to as : " Dip, Brake, Drive, or is crossfit dumbing it down?

  • Nice instructional video. The dip and drive needn't be like bouncing a ball though. You can generate a ton of power, and even some bar whip (if the weight is heavy enough) with a hard stop at the bottom of the dip, before exploding up. A very common and effective push press and jerk technique by world-class lifters. Some lifters can push press and jerk more weight using a hard stop technique. I am one of them :-)
