"Goy Vey!" is derived from "Oy Vey!" -- the catch-all Yiddish exclamation that means "Oh woe!" (like "Aiyah!" in Chinese) -- and "Goy", which is Yiddish for anyone who's not Jewish, as well as Cantonese for anyone who's not Chinese. Hence, the title sums up what Chinese and Jews and other cultures have in common, and also the identity mix-ups that happen throughout the story.

Thank you! Did you see the show in the Bowery Poetry Club? Or in Leeds?
