cont- periodically lived in the same village since the early '90s,(I am writing this from Afandou now, but preparing to return to the UK in 3 days time),and travelled many times on the ferries to Kos and Athens and always there are Gypsie families to be seen on board/boarding/disembarking and I look among them to see if anyone stands out as being different,I guess I always will. After seeing the documentary,(is there a way of seeing it again?)and by accident finding this on YouTube who wouldn't?

cont.- near Athens. Although the boy I saw of course could not be Ben I remember thinking how strong this theory was in light of what I had observed in Rhodes. I am no expert on the features that kids inherit from their parents and less so on the lives of this itinerant group of people who are a common sight throughout Greece but it just did not seem plausible that the boy was biologically related to his "siblings", the woman,(his "mother") or any of the others I saw that day. I have cont.-

-cont.All the family members were typically very dark skinned except for a lad aged 12 to 14 or 15 who was blond and although tanned seemingly of a completely different ethnic origin to the rest of his "family". It was very noticeable, curious. Then I heard about Bens disappearance and much later still in the UK saw a documentary about it. In the programme there was a theory that he may have been taken by such people, in fact one of Bens relatives, I'm sure, searched for him in a shanty cont.

I was living/working in Afandou, Rhodes April '89 to Oct.'90 & again spring & summer @92.One day in the square,(I think I was working in the sandwich/souvlaki shop at the time, so it would be spring 1990)a gypsie,(if that is the correct term nowadays),family set up a stall outside the church. Can't remember what they had to sell but initially there were men, women, kids, a pick-up truck but eventually there was left just the kids, various ages and perhaps 1 woman. They stayed all day. cont-

This poster has gone up on Mothers for Justice site now. We mother's form life long friendships and have allies with many who have lost children. You Tube is a brilliant platform for communication. This is a very good source of putting up information to a very broad spectrum of people in society. Good out ways evil all the time in my book.
Best wishes Lindamac xx
