Shelby at Dog School, 08/22/07

This is Shelby running a course in class at the K9 Campus. We did the first part of the course, then the second part, and then the combined, full course. The courses in practice are Excellent level (we are now competing at Open). We lost our weave pole mojo towards the end there, which is why we went back through again. I love the way my dog jumps--I'm honestly convinced that she is the reincarnation of a show jumping horse!! Check out her lead change and super launch at the one jump and how she kicks out her hind legs to make sure she's clear of it. Think I could maybe splice some of her DNA with a horse's and create a super jumper?

Haha! That doesn't mean that she will necessarily listen to me any time when we're NOT doing agility--she just happens to love doing this! :) As long as it's convenient to what she likes to do, she's on target!

wow how long did it take you to train in the weaves? my dog jumps through them....of course he is twice the size of yours...lol

Wow, I don't have an exact time frame for you...when we started learning, it was in class once a week, and I'd say she was really getting the idea within a month or so? It didn't take her long, she's pretty sharp!
