Montgomery School on Central News 25-01-12

Montgomery school is a school in a diverse area of Birmingham. The children that attend are from different backgrounds and many from different countries. The school is a satisfactory in its Ofsted reports but is seen as an 'under-performing school'. Micheal Gove is currently forcing many schools around the country to become academies and get private sponsors. To be quite honest it is in reality the first step to privatiseing the education system and the future of our children. By forcing parents and the community to accept the school to become in reality a private school is not just morally wrong but hypocritical to government view on the Big society where they would like to empower communities. Academies in fact are undemocratic with very little representation from parents on their governing body. Also the exclusion rates are much higher than the national average so it begs the question, why? also in reality like ANY business it is ALWAYS about the 'profit' where do you think this will come from?
