Around 12:45am Moncton Fire Dept was called out to Chateau A Pape at 2 Steadman Street in Moncton. This is located just behind the Codiac RCMP Station. I was on scene at 4am (better late then never I guess) At this point, there was still alot of fire visible, Firefighters working hard to battle the fire as well as the freezing cold....-14 and -26 with the wind chill. Winds where gusting around 30 to 40 Km/h. Two ladder trucks where on scene spraying water continuously. At the time I left, around 5:20am, Firefighters where still working hard to put out the fire. Smoke was a major issue as well.

  • what goes around comes around

  • @moonbaby38 What would you mean by this?

  • The video is great....

I`d like to see CanadaKen do better....

  • Thank you for you support. It was hard filming this as my camera kept freezing. It was very cold and I can only imagine how hard it was for the firefighters to be out there for hours. They did a great job.

  • They lost A LOT more then wine, they lost old family memories, jobs, a part of their lives! The wine is the last thing on their minds.

  • so sad

  • I will never forget one of the worst fires I ever fought in Albany, NY. The temp was around -36 and we had 7 row houses going. I know cold! My heart goes out to the brothers and sisters in Moncton and to the owners of their fine establishment.

  • You're not rusty at all, you wrote that perfectly! lol

  • Soo true, this is a terrible loss for the owners and employees, as well as all of Greater Moncton.

  • Oui c'est vraiment tragique, Moncton a perdu un bon restaurant.

(Sorry, my french is a bit rusty lol)

  • c'est vraiment tragique pour la communauté de Moncton :(
