I was at this show, and it didn't really sound like that. Unbelievably loud and noisy yes, but I think it just red-lined on this video. About 10 minutes into the "holocaust" section and I had to crawl into a ball like a fetus.

I just got back from the Santa Monica show Can someone please explain to me why they played that one chord for 10-15 minutes? I thought the first 4 minutes was cool, watching the ceiling chip away, hoping the speakers would blow smoke, but then it got a little boring, mean they could have squeezed 2 more songs if they only played that one chord for 4 minutes. Some fans say its a hidden song, I thought maybe they were trying to express something, but i for one cannot figure it out.

Now 3 days later, my ears are still ringing a little. Everyone in the poker room after MBV was having trouble hearing.

i was that at jumpoff and all i can say this is the one time you gotta do yr work and know what you are getting into b/c it can have disastrous consequences........we saw mad amounts of unprepared neophytes/fakers headin for the hills in anguish

i don't doubt it. it was the loudest thing i've ever heard and i wore ear plugs. i felt sorry for those who didn't have any. but nothing like the sex of having my bloody valentine live in front of your face
