why couldn't a Enniscorthy based builder renovate the museum ?????? Mythen Construction got the contract of renovating the retreat in Ballyvalloo in Blackwater but they could not raise the €1,000,000 bond for the contract (so im told) but the council will let them run amock with our PRICELESS castle (Goff Developments got the contact in Ballyvalloo)

I have quite a few pictures from our visit in 1999, including one, I''m pretty sure, of Bagenel Harvey's sword. I'd be happy to email them to the person who posted this video if someone can tell me how. A real shame about the closing. Enniscorthy was a true highlight of tha trip to Ireland. I kissed the Windmill in memory of my grandfather, Bill, and my uncle Jim, who never made it to County Wexford, the home of the Doyles.

Once again another great Enniscorthy attraction is closed with no sign of reopening ... what is the hold up with the renovations can anyone tell me ? Surely it couldnt take that long ?

Its a pity its still closed. It had some great exhibits. The Office of Public Works needs to pull its finger out.... whats the delay?

Am not in film, but there's a great play about Spencer which would be fabulous put on in the castle venue. It went to Edinburgh festival a number of years ago.
