Congressman Brian Higgins speaks at groudbreaking along Buffalo's Inner Harbor - 2009-09-08

Congressman Brian Higgins joins Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown and others at the groundbreaking for the reconstruction of four historic streets in the citys Inner Harbor area. The work will consist of reconstruction of four cobblestone streets (Prime, Lloyd, Perry and Hanover), installation of granite curbs, exposed aggregate concrete sidewalks, new street lighting, landscaping, traffic signal work; the street alignment is designed to match the existing street grid as much possible. $3.8 million in federal funding, including $2.3 million in Recovery Act funds, was secured for this project by Congressman Higgins and Sen. Charles Schumer.
