Francis Bellamy authored the Pledge of Allegiance for the United States, but did you know he was a Christian Socialist?

  • Yeah, add me to the list of people creeped out by making kids say the pledge.

BTW: no ads on your vid for me.

  • @prodigyat9 Lol, that's because I haven't put this video on revenue sharing yet :)

Nazis were violently anti-Left ...a traditional German cultural resurgence, a Capitalist populist backlash against all things Socialist

...Nazis were protectors of the Rich, Class Privilege, private property "rights", Inheritance wealth, wealth consolidation, Aristocracy, Feudalism.

aggressive advocates for ...class inequality, economic hierarchy, traditional Conservative family values, "personal responsibility" & individual superiority "liberty" in capitalist competition.

that's a fantasy because all societies and industries are interconnected. dependent on imports because they cant make all goods & services they need. they have to import what they cant make.

the most beneficial way for a country to control imports & exports is by high tariffs on imports and high taxes & penalties on businesses that dont hire workers locally but hire cheap labor overseas to be greedy and not pay reasonable wages.

    talk to LouieArrighi.

    it is called Protectionism.

  • @FolkBoyify I never had a problem with the pledge. It is good to be loyal to one's country. By loyal, I don't mean blindly follow.

  • I HATE the fact that when I'm in school(middle school, going to high school next year), the teachers will make you stand up during the pledge. I'm gonna ask mrs. Delaney, my Language Arts teacher, if I can walk out of the class room while it's being said, since I can't sit down. :p

  • I knew it was Bellamy, but didn't know his first name, or the other stuff. I don't think that's the point for me though. As a kid, I would have been much more vocal about NOT saying the pledge growing up as a kid if I knew what I know now.

  • Good to know that you have done your homework, Abby.

  • If anyone said that on theO'Reilly factor, Bill will probably interept them like he does a lot of his guests.

  • @VampiressOnDaProwlq As far as I understand, in the sense of being self-sustainable, not needing to import or export any goods.

  • @AnnikaGarratt

economically independent in what way? i'm anti-Free Trade. anti-Globalist. against multinational Capitalism.
