The day that Curly Billy shot down crazy Sam McGee was a bg Hollies hit with Allan Clarke on vocals. This version sports Pete Howarth (also Cliff Richard harmony singer) in great form.

  • More power to Tony and Bobby for keeping the band going without the voice we all love. If I were in their position, and had to quit or keep playing, I know I'd keep playing for love of it. Times change, folks get older and want to retire, so I'll say thanks for the memories Allan, Bernie, Terry, et al, and keep on going, Tony and Bobby. I bet they'd still play in their garage if no one came to see them. I know I would.

  • TONY LOOKS AMAZING! must be taking pills or something...cause he looks AMAZING! *i wouldnt say no!* ;-)

  • Certainly not a bad band - but it is a bit as if Charlie Watts and Keith Richards with some other musicians would go on tour under the name of the Rolling Stones

  • Allan Clarke's successor tries to be fair, but just in this song to him he can not nearly enough water, since he lacks a certain something.

  • What happen Alan Clarke?

  • It is a very difficult job for a singer if you should replace Allan Clarke. It is a mission impossible!! Allan is a legend....

  • I worked in a band with pete howarth when he was about 17/18 in Blackpool

( remember the Foxhall? )great unique voice then and still great! This guy was an unbelievable guitarist then, well ahead of his time! John Sykes ( whitesnake/thin lizzy ) used to come and watch pete play and go home gutted! Keep trucking pete! Love from Thailand!

  • Great !!

The oldies still got it :)

  • don't know anything about peter howarth, but his voice is weak, only half as good as alan's. the lousy acoustics don't help either. but to see the grand masters, tony and bobby is a real treat. all in all this line up is pretty good, and it's a hard act to follow allan clarke, in fact IMPOSSIBLE. but top marks to tony and bobby for doing a decent job of keeping this brilliant band together. here's wishing you luck lads.

  • Peter is great the Hollies are better than ever.

  • if anyones has been or are in a band its hard to keep the line up original especially with pub bands etc but you have to kkep going and the new member always brings something new. evolve not revolve. if alans had enough and his voice is not what it was , so be it , but its sad.
