Then the general security agency follows him because two operatives believe he is working for the Arabs. The other one develops an obsession, and...

It's all a very nice twist of the what would happen if Gilad Shalit would be released, in the mind of the author. Will he still be loyal to the country after so long?

Clever re-imagining of "24", dials up the insidious propaganda but hides its tracks better. Jack Bauer is replaced almost to a tee by Carrie Mathison; both characters have a Cassandra complex and both characters are examples of how paranoia & "vigilance" is supposedly justified (its consequences will be shown to be ultimately worth it in the Grand Scheme of America's Destiny™).

Smart to exploit the 9/11 anniversary to plug this. "Homeland" is to Obama voters what "24" was to Republicans.
