Male Treatment options can fall into 2 types; hormone replacement therapy or fertility treatments. The best methods for men with Kallmann syndrome are patches, gels, injections or implants. Just which is the best might come down to personal choice.

  • It does very much depend on what country you are in unfortunately.

Nebido is fast becoming the treatment of choice in the UK and the 3 to 6 month interval seems to suit most people I talk you. I have had very few negative comments about it.

It just seems a shame that it looks like Nebido will not be available in the USA for some time to come thanks to the FDA.

  • how can you tell if you have it

  • The reason Nebido is not available in the USA is because the USA has a highly protected economy, it's purely about money. The gels and patches are the most expensive treatments available, not because they're the most expensive to make but because they have the greatest markup on them. They took many years to develop and the manufacturers obviously want to make a profit, competition from a long lasting T injection would seriously dent their profits.

  • Nebido is available in NZ only it's not subsidised. Personally I've found that every level of T described by doctors as adequate is in fact insufficient regardless of what product it is. And for people like XXY guys and Kallmann guys who've never had a natural production of T they will never know what level is truly the right level. I personally have 500mgs T per month spread over 4 equal injections. I'm never low as I always overlap.

  • You are right about the testing of the levels. I do think some men dont get the proper follow up in between times during the use of which ever therapy you decide to go with. Blood work is imperative to make sure the levels are where they should be. Very informative video :-)
