Almost the Bride of Dracula - Part 1/3

"Almost the Bride of Dracula" is a one-act comedy my community theater presented on August 21st, 2008. I played the lead, Dracula, who is constantly hounded by his mother to find a nice girl and settle down. Unfortunately, he is terribly unlucky in love.

Oh man! This bring back memories.

We performed this play too (in Secondary school) I played Becky's father (The third girl's father in the last part).

in the beginning scene with your mother, you cut some funny stuff out. And with the mother, to get that part funny, you need to go over the top with emotions. For example- when she says "your 580 years old, you think your gonna live forever?" she needs to be lecturing him, scolding him, like she is almost mad about it. Again when she talks about her friends having grandchildren, she is exasperated, and you should of had her wail it, like "Greey HAAIR! thats WHat!" then have her stomp off.
