  • The thing I admire is he isn't afraid to sound bad in front of cats. I guarantee the majority of that stuff he's playing is new to him which is why he's screwing up or I should say starting and stopping.

  • attempting to imitate these bass drum patterns has led to some productive practice sessions for me

  • @lqddrums always keep praciticing. that's his motto ;)

  • What I like about Pridgen is that he really feels the music going through him. The stuff he is playing wasnt previously studied and meant to be that way, as you can see when other drummers are playing. He is 100% improvisation.

  • anyone know what ride that is?

  • @adrummer181 German and matched grip are the same thing. More so, German grip is an extension of matched grip.

  • @King7191 Derek Roddy, George Kollias, Zach Hill.

  • @King7191

    What about Dennis Chambers?

  • @King7191 you might wanna do some research :)

One of his influences,Gerald Heyward is known for having a fast foot...Ronald Bruner as well

  • Yes he is a lefty!! <3 <3

  • @stixie211 I play both matched grip and traditional, and the thing is--for me, it's easier to play tasty ghost notes with the traditional grip, but it's harder to get a fat rim shot or bust out single stroke rolls on the toms. So for this style, I play matched. But whatever works for you.

  • @stixie211 no, you can use any type of grip. Thomas often switches from german to matched grip.
