I think Mark was nervous that Mike had maybe found HIS underwear ... he didn't know the context of the story or what had been said already, so he thought Mike might inadvertantly implicate him in banging Lisa. So he did what anyone would do, he says "Underwear man? What's that?" and then blasted him in the balls.

At 1:40 Mark asks "Underwear? What's that?" Mike avoids his question, telling him that's it's embarrassing not to know what underwear is at his age, and telling him he doesn't want to go into it. Filled with rage, Mark pushes him into the trashcans while yelling "Underwear man? Underwear!?" If it wasn't for his friends holding him back this would be a completely different scene. Wiseau, you truly are an incredible actor and director.

Mark's affairs have given him superhuman strength.

Mark and Mike have similar names, perhaps their lives are parallels. Perhaps Mike leaving his underwear at Tommy's house represents the shame that Mark feels about his actions toward Lisa. And the fact that Mark pushed him down represents his denial of this part of his life. I look forward to analyzing the true symbolic nature of Tommy Wiseau's storytelling.
