If there is a conspiracy about the middle east problem it is the work of hasbara.

They recruit people by the thousands to prevent an open minded discussion about it and work with allegations and diffamations.

How can I tell whether it was a conspriracy to threaten the Arabs away and then take their land once they had gone?

I can only know that this is what happened. Now stop that silly game of misunderstanding whatever people say who are not pro-ultra-rightwing Israel and its supporters.

It is a silly game, you play it and others do so and one hardly meets an advocate of right-wing Israel who does not do so: constructed misinterpretations instead of allowing even the slightest form of criticism.

you exactly know what I mean. 20 percent is a number big enough to claim that Israel is tolerant but small enough not to let them become a danger for the more or less pure Jewish character of Israel.

@Jeansschwimmer Why the panic reactions as soon as anybody mentions the demand of the refugees to return.

What about the law about the "absentee landowners".

First drive them away, then deny them any re-entry and then say that they left their land to israel on their own choice? Did the Jews who were forced to leave their property or sell it for a fraction of its real value when they had the cance to escape Germany do so on their own will?

@BillKiernan I know about the Arabs who have not fled and the Israelis gruntingly have "accepted" in their country. But I even know that state land is sold to Jews only- a law that passed the Knesset in the early Sharon years. And I know about Lieberman's wish to put them all against the wall and shoot them. I know that they are despised except by the small minority of liberal or leftist Israelis that still exist.

Like you, I tend to believe Dr. Sand's findings.
