Saw them in Manchester about 1968 they were brilliant.

You Nailed I! I was 15 years old when I purchased Gene"s First Album following his leaving the Byrds And THAT WAS The Byrds 3rd and Final Album.. I always loved McGuinn's renditions of Dylan tunes, but when it came to any other songs, Gene's voice towered over McGuinn's. I remember seeing him once in the mid 80's in Minneapolis and to hear him sing Turn Turn Turn-it was 1965 all over again. Gene was the ABSOLUTE BEST and McGuinn, Crosby, & Hillman Know It!

@icallmybabystp You couldn't have said it better! Roger and Gene WERE the BYRDS! I love Roger, but I love Gene more! Gene was a tremendous and prolific songwriter up unitl the day that he died and his voice was much better than Roger's. Gene's solo album after having left the Byrds, should be recorded in musical history as the Byrds 3rd and Final album!

One of the absolute "Best" songs that Gene ever wrote, but due to infighting at the time, this song, surprisingly, never made it on The Byrds "Turn Turn Turn" album. The album, as great as it is, was weaker because of this ommission!

I always thought Mike Nesmith and Roger McGuinn would have made a great band

I love the Byrds. Great band.

@Byrds1967 Don't think so. ;-)

i love roger's guitar playing. i really do believe it's the greatest guitar sound that has ever been recorded to tape. BUT, he just can not deliver this song in the same way gene can. love roger, love gene, but love gene a little more.

My very first concert was the Byrds. I have seen McGuinn perform many times over the years. A true legend in the music world!

I saw Roger in '08 and he didn't play this one....wish he had! McGuinn sings one of Clark's best.
So question guys......is there any other artist out there with "3" signature guitars made after them?
