These graphic Canadian workplace tragedy videos horrify and get the problem stated BUT THEY DON'T OFFER SOLUTIONS. We will.

#1 Restaurant Grease Fire

Workers should wear fire-resistant NOMEX jumpsuits and fluid-resistant aprons with FASTEX bucklet straps (no more flimsy tie draw strings) and non-slip rubber sole shoes with steel toes. On their heads when moving pots of grease should be a lightweight helmet with FULL CLEAR FACE SHIELD so nothing splashes into their neck or faces.

#2 Welder on High Rise Building Frame

Should be wearing a fire-resistant NOMEX jumpsuit and a BACKPAD with shock-absorbing honeycomb. Just enough cushioning and you can survive a back-first fall.

#3 Forklift operator

ALL forklifts should have COVERED ROLL CAGES so any crap comes down on them doesn't impact the driver.

#4 Nicely Breasted Woman on Ladder

Nice-looking women should ask a gentlemen to hold their ladder for them. If none are around don't use ladder. New design ladder should be created where four arms extend out to secure base like a spade on a self-propelled howitzer aka artillery tank. These arms should have pads that in event someone falls they land uninjured. Too radical? Take life seriously and you won't have avoidable serious tragedies.

#5 Electrical Burn Victim in Coffin

Don't know details except what back-from-the-dead victim says. Maybe if we all GATHERED our electricity from solar & wind the whole high voltage death risk infrastructure would be reduced so less electrical workers get killed because there'd be less electrical workers. Instead they should be holding ladders for nicely-breasted women to attach solar panels and wind mills to homes and afterwards taking them out to eat at the sexy, un-disfigured sous chef's restaurant supplied by pallets loaded by roll-cage forklifts from food warehouses safely constructed by welders in safety clothes and fall-impact mitigation clothing. A happy ending possible if we get off our asses and DO SOMETHING about it. I like happy endings. So should you.

  • #1: at the restaurant I worked at we were required to wear a full rubber apron, arm-length rubber gloves and full face shield when handling hot oil/grease. Also we NEVER carried hot oil in open containers. We had a special wheeled container to carry hot grease in that really wouldn't spill much if you tripped.

  • omg everyone will think i am a sadistic sh*t but i actually laughed.
