GD+Zach-Incident On 57th Street (Springsteen) 12 25 08

First of all please excuse the cable partially covering Zach's face. It was our first take and the best one! What an honor to cover this soaring rapid fire, character-filled Bruce classic "Incident On 57th Street" from The Boss' second record "The Wild, The Innocent and The E-Street Shuffle" with My 16-year-old piano playin' son Zach. His mom, Meg, has been a great influence on him, introducing him to her all-time favorite rock star Bruce Springsteen. I think he is sparked by two piano playin' band members who (have) graced the music of two big rock stars, Bruce and Dave Matthews.

Yes, somehow Zach is following in the footsteps of Prof. Roy Bittan (E Street Band) David Sanchez (original E-Street keyboardist) and Butch Taylor (DMB). However, to his own dismay (kidding) and to my fortune, he is following in the footsteps of his father (me) too by singing songs he loves.

Enjoy this father/son performance to the highest degree! Yes I'm proud. Sure I'm biased. Most importantly, I enjoy seeing and taking part in the process of the development of his talent first hand! I also like the fact that he's wearing a Garrick Davis and his Fabulous FunkyBand t-shirt! Beautiful! Enjoy! -GD

Hi Suzzy, I am deeply touched by your reaching out. I am so sorry for your loss. That ours sons share a common name bringing us together in this moment, I am grateful. My son is a huge Springsteen fan, very unusual for a 17 year old, but his mother has influenced this more than I. He has seen Bruce many more times than I ever will, traveling around the country and all. I can only afford to make music with him and facilitate showing him that through music we are healers,inspirers and good. Luv2u
