I'm not bagging on islam in general here, though it does deserve it, but rather any institution that is allowed to have absolute dominion over human life is by it's very nature something that is prone to corruption and abuse. Power corrupts. Absolute power corrupts absolutely.

@elsparx read the post below, liberal society believed that you could solve everything by going to a psychiatrist. Teachers, doctors, lawyers, etc. Rabbis...all went for help and not to jail. The mistake the church made was following secular society. The video is a bigoted lie.
