@Tr2u1ck Ok.. I see what you mean. I tow a fifth and have a slider.. you can def tell the difference when you slide it back (weight off the front like you were saying). this unit's purpose appears to me to be for low speed aplications anyway, when you are just steering sharp.

@toolinmaine I don't know how much as opposed to sliding 5th wheels on semis (their 5th wheels have notches on the plate that locks it in place and is air operated. each notch/hole distributes 300-500 lbs) but same concept applies. 5th wheel towards the front puts more weight on the steers (front axle) and off the drive(s) - rear axle.., slide it to the rear and more weight is put onto the rear axle..

weve taken ours down the wash at glamis no problems.
weve also gone done roads so bad it wass like a black diamond trail and nothing happend.
