18 year old, high school senior, Bethany Alvey addresses the Hemet Unified School District Board of Trustees at the public meeting on February 24, 2009. Bethany never knew what a civics lesson she would get out of exercising her first ammendment rights. This is her story.

This is more typical than a lot of people think, administrators are milking our education system dry! The teachers unions are the primary cause of the state of our schools, the protections that they have put in place for failing teachers is ridiculous and should be an embarrassment for parents of every student in our state. When you tell someone that no matter what they do or how they perform their job is secure what kind of education can we expect for our kids! This is freakn' stupid!!!!!!

once again...28 and calling younger kids names?? that's something we should be doing to you...not you to us...and i think you should learn your facts...go back to that high school if you have to...there are used condoms everywhere and people having sex all over the place...especially in the bathrooms...not to mention the people who smoke their marijuana in there

No kidding!! I bet a million dollars some of these posters are HUSD Superintendents or their families. Well they got 2 million dollars in perks so they can afford to be bullies! I am glad I live in this voting district. Change is coming!

You are also 28. So I don't think you graduated recently or you lied about your age on your profile. Williams Act read it. Textbooks being "available" is not good enough. Why are you picking on a kid trying to make things better? Go to the next meeting on the 17th and pick up the actual public information on salaries and contracts for the Superintendents. It will be there for everyone. Somehow I don't think that is your interest. 28? You need to grow up.

This isn't elementary school, its SCHOOL. No one should have to walk into a bathroom where people are having sex. Until people can behave like humans, not rabbits, its obvious that some kind of supervision is necessary.
