Troy Bayliss was one of the best Superbike riders ever, but not a overall great rider, he couldn't adapt to MotoGP bikes, as he said: "There was no chassis flex in them." so he was use to the steel frame of the Ducati Superbikes that have lots of feel and flex to be able to muscle them around and ride them aggressively.. MotoGP bikes are opposite. A great rider is one who can adapt and ride many different bikes.
