How is he not being respectful of nature?

'That's a little too close'...uh, maybe YOU are a little too close
to THEM. That's THEIR habitat love, not ours. That would be like
a...bear going into your flat, and telling you 'Hey Mate, could you do me
a favor and go int the other room? I'm trying to watch the telly.'
You should really be thankful that you weren't crushed by that humpback
since we know they are capable of jumping out of the water and crashing
back down. You could of been filming your death. Think about it.
RESPECT NATURE!

leave it to an Australian not to care.
I respect the whale's, I love them but I'm not going to stop going out on my kayak in the ocean just in case some curious humpbacks may swim up to me. We have 10 000 humpback's swim up our coast on their migration to warmer water's every year and I've had many encounter's with them coming up to me. At no time do I go to them or harrass them. If I die cause one decides to jump on me that's cool I'd rather die that way then being trapped in some burning car or something.

is the camera you have mounted to the hull of the kayak a -home build or is it a commercially avail unit?

@amereminion I made it myself and it's supposed to be mounted on the kayak but had to take it off cause the whales kept moving around me.
