Aww, so cute! Your husband is immensley patient! I've fed city pidgeons with my hands. It takes a lot of time to gain their trust, then the brave ones start jumping on you. I also once fed wild squirrels at a random beach along the California coast. Again, LOTS of time sitting very still. They were so cute, they kept stuffing the food into their cheeks until they looked like they might burst! Oh, I also fed a wild mama & baby deer on Catalina Island. Same story, but SO worth the wait!

Wow, you've had some awesome experiences. I think I'll put the tripod on the roof out the bedroom window and feed the chickadees for you. They don't take too long to come!

Come to think of it, I guess I have had some cool experiences feeding wild animals. I'm not one of those people who would try to feed the lions on an African safari though...or the bears in the woods...or for that matter any dangerous carnivores who might want to kill me later.
