Thank the good Lord that it has been a sunny 4 days and the garden is finally waking up. My beautiful daughter Cara helped me film this now that she and her twin Chelsea and big brother (by one year) Blake have come for some summer fun all the way from Montana! I've already harvested radish, red beet and a few small juicy carrots! We keep pickin on the cilantro, parsley and redworms...heh heh kidding! Hope you like the vid! Peace out - Farmer George

  • Everyone's got a better garden than mine! Damn I'm so jealous of you Americans with your fine weather for growing fruits and vegetation.

We here in London are not so fortunate.

    P.s Over here we don't call them "zuchinni's" we call them "courgettes"(sounds better i think ! )

  • Better weather over here in the USA yes, but you've got better tasting beer! I'm not sure which I'd prefer! heh heh...Cheers Mate! -Farmer George

  • Why call yourself "Farmer George" ? Sounds a bit goofy ? Is that just your internet name, or is that what people call you at work ?

Anyways, in a few weeks i am going to sow my Roma tomato's and courgettes and aubergines (eggplants to you yanks) and hopefully by June/July I will be able to call myself Farmer Spyknife !

  • Haha..."Farmer" George is a nickname my friends gave me because I spent too much time in my garden this year. I guess its better than what they used to call me...:) Good luck with your crop "Farmer" Spyknife! :)

  • Okay, judging by the stalk and the way the leaves hang, I would say you have a Big Rainbow Staking variety. Basically a large to very large yellow beefsteak, as the fruits ripen, it will go through a phase where they resemble a rainbow - 'greenback' on the shoulders, yellow in the middle, and with red blushed pink on the blossom end. Highly rated in taste tests........ummmm......JUST KIDDING. LOL. I have no idea what variety it is.

Your garden looks incredible. Keep the updates coming.

  • Heh Heh...you had me goin there for awhile...I was just settin up my ebay account to sell some Big Rainbow 'matos for big bucks!...oh well, guess I'll have to eat 'em myself and guess what variety they really are. Thanks for your nice comments...-George
