to say that ALL Japanese people are polite would be a little bit of a stretch. There are bad seeds everywhere. In this case, you are dealing with younger people, students and I seem to remember being quite an ass and not care about what other people thought at that age. With age, sometimes, that changes. Not saying it would have worked necessarily, but had you tried just going over there and calmly asking for them to lower their volume, rather than shouting the Japanese equivalent of "STFU"?

@kua514 I know these people, they do whatever the crap they want to so even if I did go over there and ask politely they would restart their mess. And not mentioned in the video but there was a girl in the room that was noisy. What's so bad about a girl? It's an all boys dorm, strictly prohibiting girls.

I can relate! The girls in the dorms at Kobe College are up until ungodly hours of the night talking and laughing and I haven't slept in the three months since I've gotten here :P I always yell だまれ! but it doesn't seem to help much.

When I went to Tokyo I was surprised how impolite people were compared to Kansai (not saying Kansai people are horribly polite either) but I thought Tokyo people were kinda extreme.

@RecusantSatire31 I have family over in the Kansai area and I go there every year and I have to agree with you, people in Kansai are much politer than the ones in Tokyo. I dislike people in Tokyo so much!

i agree~ same in Taiwan~!! i mean i didnt go to school there but i visited a cousin of mine who is in college at NTU a month ago & spent the night in her dorm & met all of her room/floor mates (very nice at first) & at 3 in the morning they were up & talking about guys & crap & i tried to leave it be & sleep but it kept going on so i yelled "SHUT THE F**K UP! GOD D**MMIT! " at them in english & they stopped~ :) for about an hour. =_=" no asian race is polite. NEVA~!

Haha. Sleepy face.. = 3 = I was in this bus, and my school was having one of those boring field trips, so put in my earphones and went to sleep. But some bastard keep touching my hair, so what I did was I opened my eyes and said " Please leave me the fuck alone, or i will kill u.." and I went back to sleep. xD

there are assholes everywhere, and most like to collect into a concentrated area... like Tokyo, Chicago, London, NewYork, Paris, etc

I know that here in the "Go" (chicago), most of the a-holes are more toward downtown and on the west and south sides... but i'm sure it's no different in the "Kyo-Michi" (Tokyo... i picked it up from a website somewhere, weird nick name for Tokyo XDD)

Hahahaha sorry that happened, but it was humorous to see your reaction. It made me think of a scene in the movie "The Kid" where the little kid says "You laugh, you die. You laugh, you die!" I just keep giggling... LOL! Hope you've slept since then...
