  • @4candles (I know Alkan's works have been recorded for organ (and two of his Préludes have been recorded for pédalier), but I'm looking for a complete recording of his organ/pédalier on the instrument they were intended for!)

  • Thank you very much for uploading this. This really is a rarity! Gounod really does write well for strings. I'm not bowled over by his piano writing, but the piano-pédalier is, in my view, an instrument worthy of revival. All we need now is someone to record Alkan's works for the medium!

  • Thank you so much for uploading this performance. I have really enjoyed watching the videos, being unaware that Gounod had written any concertante piano works. It is very effective, and this is a really valuable contribution to the YouTube classical 'collection'.
