Yeah, pretty funny. But Gladys isn't who you think she is. Some people here in Austin know that it's a guy, a comedian from this area. Why do you think there hasn't even been a picture of her in the 2 years she's been talking to Ellen? Still, pretty funny. By the way, she says here that "Jennie" is her grand-daughter with asthma, but Jennie is actually the name of the guy's wife.

My cousin lives here & goes to the comedy club where Scott Hardy has performed. He sent me a link to a report on Weekend America. They figure out that Gladys is actually Scott.You can search for "Weekend America, March 10 2007" & see the link to the report. I listened to the audio, then did some more searches (Gladys Hardy, Scott, fake) & found even more info. Really, I trust my cousin more than even those. Scott & Jennie also have a my space, if you want to bother looking. BTW, Jennie is hot!

@fernandatralala I'm sure the show's producers arrange the calls ahead of time. Nothing on a talk show is random, even the ones in late night. Gladys (Scott Hardy), is waiting by the phone for the "random call". Think about it. Do they really want to plan a Gladys segment, then get a busy signal or no answer? Do they want Ellen to say, "Oh well, I really wanted to talk to Gladys, but too bad she's not in." It's a comedy bit, a very funny one, but that's all it is. Scott is very good at it.
