You are right...any point of view is only that...so astrology is no more valid than any other aspect of consciousness...it's just a preference..no 'right or wrong' here...illusion is illusion is illusion, no matter how you dress it up. Methinks we...together, you and I, are 'getting it...we don't realy know anything at all...cheers.

Therefore, instead of anything specific, a vague net of meaning is cast to catch the most fish, who will, in turn, re-interpret their perception in order to validate and bring some meaning to something that was "seen in the stars". It's the blind leading the blind, and a way for those that are ambitious to feel they've connected with - and can interpret - something larger than themselves.
My apologies, but I'd discover more meaning staring into my toaster.

@madcowan2012 You realize then, of course, that way of thinking completely invalidates any foothold that astrology may have on being the slightest bit relevant. If the will/intent to dictate perception affects the outcome, then astrological significance of any single event is jumbled because of everyone else's interpretation of what they see.

This 'oneness' we speak of is not an intellectual concept...it is an experience. no amount of conceptual argument will truly validate the ego based idea of a separated self...we all still die asking"'Who am I?" The ego is fantasy we concocted as a lame substitute for our lost memory of who we are...we all know in our heart of hearts that we are not what we think, or even can think, we are....there is nothing out there but the reflection of your state of mind.

Not to say that there are many academic societies and publications that operate outside educational academia that do present on the merging of quantum physics and 'metaphysics' (ISEEEM comes to mind, as does the Noetic Institute) Reductionist and materialist science threw out the baby of genuine experiential spirituality when it it (rightfully) tossed out he bathwater of superstitious religous institutional hogwash. It is a modern tragedy that many confuse the two.

As 'papers' as you are referring to them usually mean academia-mediated 'research', you will find that any papers that don't toe the line of a mechanistic linear-based paradigm do not get published in 'serious' journals. The scientific method dovetails nicely with the quantum 'observer effect' however...if you set out disprove a hypothesis, of course you will...that is the power of the will/intent to dictate perception.
-
Um, you have a glare in your glasses/ Are you reading something?
-
@madcowan2012 Please provide a link to the papers you are refering to! We would all love to read how quantum mechanics are connected Mars effecting the price of my house or the Moon is making my aunts career choice clearer!

The will is greater than 'intelligence'...we see what we want to see. I want to see a Universe of unity and purpose...so I do.

@madcowan2012 Explain to me how fairydust can be incorporated into quantum physics. Go ahead, I'll wait. Let me know what Jupiter passing through a connect-the-dots picture in the sky has to do with a Bose-Einstein condensate, string theory, Relativity, or a racoon eating half a piece of blueberry pie while a frog croaks exactly three times in the middle of taking a dump.
I'm sorry, but this bunk should've been thrown out by now.

What absolute gibberish! Astrology is one of the *dumbest* superstitions out there, and it has a lot of competition...
