Fall in the Shenandoah and Skyline Drive

Have a look at Fall on Skyline Drive in the Blue Ridge and overlooking the Shenandoah Valley in Virginia. At the valley the colors were a mixture of greens, reds and yellows and at the higher altitudes that colors were turning to dark reds and browns. I also added some music and a high speed sunset. Check the hawk and the small plane flying together.

Make sure to pick some persimmons when they ripen in the fall. They are really good. I picked a lot along the parkway and planted the seeds up here in the mountains of New York State.

One day I'm going through Skyline Drive while I'm still at nearby JMU....don't know when, but this is a once-in-a-lifetime chance to do it.

my first visit to the United States..arrived in Nashville sept 10th 2001....awful sadness..an american couple gave us a lift because 69 planes grounded at Nashville...up to New York the next week we passed through here .we were stunned by the beauty of America...it's a love affair that will never end...nearly 7 years on and I still can't stop talking about it.Thank you for posting this. seeing it has brought memories back of a 900 mile trip over two days through all of this..love...from England.

yes, too early for best colors.. but havent been many good autumns in recent years.. Still wonderful most anytime...clear in winter if midwest coal plants arent blowing that way
