Recently remastered and reissued on Alan Merrill's album "Numbers" (The Collections Volume 2) in 2011, this was originally the single from Merrill's 2005 album "Aleecat". This fun and controversial song details Merrill's unrequited fascination with the liberal lifestyle pin-up beauty Trisha Uptown.

Alan Merrill recorded the song with drummer Peter Phipps, and bassist Dave Glover in London England at Stone Room Studios. Glover and Phipps also sing the background vocals on this song. Merrill played all the guitars and sang the lead vocal, with Joel Diamond adding the keyboard parts which were overdubbed in New York City. Mixed by Frank Garfi at Studio 900 NYC and mastered at Integrated Studio by Larry Lachmann.
The images of Alan Merrill were mainly taken from the Arrows seventies comic strip, and Trisha is portrayed by her spiritual sister, the All American girl next door, Betty, of the Archie comics.
This song demonstrates that many fine songs are inspired by unrequited heartfelt relationships.

Trisha Uptown has the most class and taste of any of the girls in her niche industry. I respect her integrity and of course her obvious beauty.
