Here is part 1 of Thelonious Monk's tune, "Green Chimneys" performed live at The House Of Tribes by Wynton Marsalis and friends. The band was HOT, hOt, hoT!!! This performance has been captured forever in the blue note recording, "Wynton Marsalis, Live at The House Of Tribes".

These guys are awesome! Wynton is in rare form, a true giant in this clip. Such genius in registration and emphasis pertaining to coupled with his other obvious areas of mastery equals when he feels it watch out! So wonderful. Take Care!

Eric Lau is another killer who went to Green Chimneys. He was there in the 1990s and he killed a woman who was a gym teacher in November 2009. It was in the paper that he killed her and that the courts sent him to David Hall, a hospital at Green Chimneys. Green Chimneys is the kind of place that makes people like Philip Zagarella, Eric Napoletano and Eric Lau even more disturbed and dangerous.

Green Chimneys is an RTC in Brewster NY where many have been abused. I aws abused the whole damn time I was there. I'm sorry the Monkman's daughter, whom I didn't know because she was years before I was there ever went because beatings were the usual. Staff beat kids and I was given beatings every day. It's a damn shame he would name a song after that dreadful, horrible RTC.

I think the alto sounds great.
Then again i'm not an arrogant elitist...
He might be playing a lot of "wrong" notes, but he's definatly not out of tune.
Also, the "wrong" notes sounds great in combination with the dissonant piano.

@matcast You need your ears checked he is way out of tune. I like his ideas but his tone is very poor.

As much as I've seen this video, I keep noticing new tidbits of info. At 2:45 after the high note and the rest of the band comes in to start another chorus, Wynton admits to Warmdaddy that he temporarily "forgot where he was".
