why are they using his real name and his real profession in this movie? is it about another actor's life, or they just made it up?

This is the weakness of Khmer movies. Actors do not speak naturally as they do in real life. But that is because of the producer and director. They want to finish making the film as soon as possible. Actors do not need to memorize the script. The script will be read to them as they act, so they need to divide their attention into listening and into acting, making their acting unnatural.
