HUD for outdoor sports. Displays information from a model airplane, car or boat. The display is visible in all conditions and does not disturb piloting. This form of increased reality gives more fun and improves progresses in training. It helps building a better knowledge of environemental conditions, including aerology. There is no camera onboard.

    :-)

  • @mldmld1968

I was sure you would appreciate.

  • No, it is not exeactly has simple to achieve a fully readable HUD. It can be used for other purposes: we are considering the paraglider and small aircraft market. For professional use, it can help in process surey and machine adjustement and many other application.

  • Thank you for your interrest anyway. The reflects are mainly due to the fact that, for the film, the camera is exactly positonned in place of the head and is much more smaller so it does not block light from the back as it is normally the case in real life. After a few flights, the pilot is used to focus his mind on the display or his plane and is not distracted from his task.

  • Where can I get hold of a system like this, and is the surface you project the information on rigid or is it possible to get it with a plastic screen so that it is flexible? And how big is the complete unit? Does it need a big and bulky reciever and a lot of wiring between units or is it small enough to fit in/on the cap?

  • so how dose this work? just an led panel that reflect onto the glass? and could you use it for other things, prehaps?

  • Sorry I don't think this is a good idea. It reflects light and distracts the pilot while flying.
