I show you the process of how to use a Windows 7 upgrade disk to erase your hard drive and do a clean install instead of the upgrade. WARNING!!!! This will erase everything so backup your information first such as pictures, files, etc... And you need all the drivers for your model computer. Usually these can be found on the individual manufactures website. If you do not have these the computer may never work correctly. You are responsible to get this right before you erase your drive following this method I show you.

  • I did not get any disks that came with my computer what can i do.

  • @XolosTijuana12 If you want to reinstall windows you will need your drivers. I would suggest you look on the website of your computers manufacturer. If you do not find anything you could still erase your computer and find the individual drivers for each piece by each pieces manufacturer.

  • i have a problem when it suppose to apper the hard drive to format ,it doesnt appear me any hard drive!!!!?????

  • @TheOscar786787 I am not sure what your statement means. But if you are not seeing a hard drive then something else is going on with your computer. Did you build it or buy it whole? How old is it? What operating system is on it now if any?

  • @bradleypolinsky It is hard to speak with them on the phone...believe me I know. And yep.. this method will get around that. Also I have another trick if you have trouble getting things to stick. Let me know how it goes.

  • @kraisydave Thank you for the reply. The confusion I expressed came from chatting with five different Microsoft Reps before one of them admitted that I could simply custom install if I wanted to upgrade my 32bit OS to 64. The usual response from them was that I was required to buy a full version if I wanted to do this. They said the only drawback was having to install an earlier version of windows before I could do this on a new hard drive. Good thing we have a way around that, eh?

  • @bradleypolinsky I did get to read a little of your message. For info all Microsoft Disks contain all versions of Windows on it. They just stick a different sticker on it. It is unlocked via the serial number you use. You can pick 32 or 64 bit depending on your computer and your needs.

  • @kraisydave no never mind the problem was that I connect to a 3.0 usb

    port

  • @XolosTijuana12 Depends. Usually your pc has a hidden partition that can be activated when the computer starts. That partition can restore your pc to when it was first purchased.

  • @TheOscar786787 You most likely have to install the drivers for your motherboard. Usually this is for raid. The drivers should come with your motherboard. you have to save them onto a cd or dvd. when the screen pops up to format you need to pick load driver first before anything.Point to the dvd or cd where the drivers are located. WHen the drivers are installed your hard drive will appear.
