I think it's more clear in girl code that a friend isn't allowed to date an ex. I thought in guy code, if you're done with one girl, that you have no more claims over her. So, Ethan, the question to you is "Are you really done with her?" If you still want to be with her, Dave should back off. If you have no chance in hell, you should be all about your friend getting a chance. And if neither of you have a chance, go get a few drinks and find someone new.

Ok so I can kinda see both sides! BUT, I have to say that no one should ever date, or anything else, a person that someone that they are so close to has dated! But at the same time Ethen you really should kinda move on. Three dates... not really worth the tention that the two of you are expressing! True best friends dont loose it all over somthing like this! But it is really cool that you ask!

If you want her to ruin your friendship, then go for it, but really, he went out with her first. If you try to go out with her while he still likes her, you'll just come off as a jerk and she'll probably pick up on the tension and realize what's going on.

in order to simply save your friendship and business, you can do one of two things. 1) Both of you have her for a night at the same time. If you know what i mean. Then neither of you call her again. or 2) Screw her, your friendship is more important. There are many MANY others out there. Trust me, i was just in love for three years and had to get over a break up. THERE ARE OTHERS. So don't stress anything over this girl, it's all good.
