If you're competing with high-schoolers for a job then chances are the people interviewing you realize that you're a looser and that you won't amount to anything above the entry position. As they've seen several people looking for the same job they can probably smell your shitty attitude and that you're faking a behavior that you won't have on the job. Nobody wants to hire a bullshitter with a bad attitude with no qualifications above a highschooler.

I agree it's hard getting a job now, no matter what country your in. The economy is in tatters and is barely recovering and countries are needing help being bailed out of debt, as a result the job market is appalling and not many people are employing, what's more, more & more people are being made redundant and being put out of a job. I eat healthy and exercise regularly, but I'm still overweight because it's very damn hard to lose weight when you have this condition.
