@mayito714 i am Cuban as well, you have to forget about the properties that your family had. those properties belong now to the Cuban people that are there inside Cuba you have no right to claim anything since your family left Cuba. that land now belongs to the Cuban people who live or work those properties.

Exxactly where is this market in Havana, so that next time I go there I can at least find a fresh lemon.

they don't appreciate food like this in california.

@mayito714 Yes, they did take that decision on your grandparents' behalf. Big of them, eh?

@mayito714 What makes you think I haven't talked to "the people", in Cuba, Venezuela, Colombia, Panama and elsewhere?
When did you last visit Cuba to see for yourself? The place clearly ISN'T the total disaster area that some would claim. You might even like it ;-)

@londonscot1 An artists wants you to see things. A Musician wants you to hear things. A writer, wants you to believe things. Throw those books of yours away that express nothing but propaganda. When you steal everything from people, They side with whomever is their enemies enemy. So, plain people become compelled to be Ex-CIA, Batista henchmen but only in figurative speech from their enemies.
@mayito714 What is foolish is to see only one side of the argument. You look at the Cuban government and see nothing but cynical politicking and conspiracies. You look at the US government and see the Lone Ranger on a white horse, always doing the right thing for the most altruistic reasons.
The bottom-line is that, if you really want to help the Cuban people, a good first step would be to lift the US government's nearly 50-year trade embargo. Enough already! What's past is passed.

It's okay if Cubans can not afford to eat meat everyday, as I understand it, the Earth can not afford to feed everybody meat everyday. If everyone ate like Americans, there would have to be 3 additional fully cultivated planets to grow all the animal feed on.
