This video shows you how to incorporate a closure piece in a full weave sew-in. The closure piece covers the top of the hair giving the illusion of a full head of natural hair. This is great if you want to ensure your weave tracks are covered.

There are different types of closure pieces: full coverage, side part, zig zag part, lace, etc. These are an easy alternative to creating your own closure using the weft hair if you're not skilled at doing that.

Closures allow the client to hide all of their hair, instead of keeping some hair out to cover the tracks and constantly damaging it with direct heat. Closures also give the client options for various hair textures and hair colors without having to match their left out hair to the weave hair. Consider using a closure if you are weaving your own hair and do not know of the other more elaborate ways to cover your tracks.

Closures are always a bit pricey, usually equaling the same price as a pack of hair. Indian human hair closures, for example, would generally equal the price of 3-6 ounces of wefted Indian human hair. They are a great investment if the hair is of good quality and when you plan to use it for multiple sew-ins.

** UPDATE**
BACKGROUND INFO ON THIS CLIENT: This particular client said she would like to wear her hair down most of the time, or at best in a low ponytail, and also wanted swooping bangs to come down diagonally across her face. So the weaving process that you are viewing in this video is to fulfill this request.

  • Hey everyone, I don't know why not all of my older responses are showing up on some of the older comments. Maybe that's when YouTube changed their reply format. But hopefully I've answered your questions on someone else's posting!

  • @aTsBg21 Different brands carry different types of closures.

    You can find them online...

You can also check your local beauty supply and ask them where they have their closures... it's usually not out in the open.

  • where do you get the closure

  • The color is whack.

  • Did you color the closure or did it come premade in that color?

  • @laja82 LOl I was think ing the same thing! Maybe it didnt come out as planned

  • where do u get the closure

  • Nice closure application. Perfect install.

  • that hair color is five thumbs DOWN

  • Closure pieces are usually kept behind the counter because they are usually made with human hair and are more expensive going from 30 and up. You can find cheaper versions but they are not as full and are made out of synthetic hair. The outcome is the same as making a bonded closure from a weft/track of hair.

  • I love full sew ins...especially in the summer and spring..no hair sweating out...
