With the recent arrival of my Mya-Moe myrtle concert, I thought I'd do a quick comparison between it and a few other concert sized ukuleles. Here are what's being compared in this video:

Collings UC-1 (Aquila strings)
William King long-scale concert (Southcoast medium tension)
Glyph mezzo-soprano (Worth CD)
Mya-Moe concert (Worth CM)

Yes, the strings are all different, but at this level of ukulele, I find that strings don't change their basic dynamics all that much.

I'm not real sure what's the point or how useful this video is to anyone, but maybe it's just an excuse to post a video with these uke! XD

  • A different watch! What kind of diver is this? You really like the chunky watches!

  • @experimentjon

That's a SuperOcean, which is like a thin dress watch compared to most of the others I have, LOL...ok, let's try to keep it on topic eh?

  • I'd rank the tones 1. Glyph 2. Collings 3. Mya Moe 4. King. All lovely instruments and fine playing George, thanks for the comparison.

  • Mya Moe sound very nice

  • @ukebeethe123 I found out! the song name is piano forte, thanks for not replying!

  • they're all gorgeous.... thanks for sharing!

  • what song did u play on 1:00 its soo beautiful, i wanna learn!

  • how many ukes do you have, can u post a video with them? and how did you learn to play?

  • Great video George! It's really interesting seeing four of the same size uke compared in the same video. I liked all of them. I couldn't even say what a favourite would be - they all sounded a bit different, but all very nice in their own way.

  • I would go with the Glyph here, but they are all great ukes. Thanks for keeping the uke faith and some of us occupied with the armchair UAS here! Interesting Vid :)

  • Surprisingly the King was my least favorite. I'd not say no to the Glyph, the Mya-moe, or the Collings

    (But they were all awesome)
