I have the Doug and the Slugs LP with Love Shines on it. I used to see them play around here in clubs I think? I actually do not remember where or if I saw them but I think I did. An old friend turned me onto them in the early to mid 80's. It is on the Avion /Ritdong label. Thanks for taking me down memory lane~

I'm being a slug today too. I've never heard any music by that band. I love the 80's graphics and I'm still drawn to used albums in the bins when they have that style.

listened to Doug and the Slugs in high school but not since "making it work". Had no idea Doug Bennett had passed. cheers

@DoctorDeadwax Back in the 80's, I wrote off Doug & the Slugs as too much of a pop band until I listened more closely to their later LP's. They had some great writing and polish.
