@vhfan1992 I agree completely. Part of the joy is watching the hero overcome an obstacle that was once thought insurmountable, but with Dante that obstacle never comes, not even with the main villain at the end. That's why I try to avoid the anime with the titular epic bad ass as the lead character. You never get a sense of danger for them and so thus you never care about them and it diminishes the joy of the show.
