@combobommen If I didn't know any better, I would say the neck pick-up is generally warmer. The closer to the bridge the pick-up, the more trebbly it is...even if you pick closer to the bridge it will radically change the sound

It extremely difficult to get Gary's sound as it is unique to him alone. You need a combination of a few seperate pedals for starters. The all in one systems are no good for this.You need a mixture of Distortion, Over Drive, Reverb and compression. You need to play around with the sound and the various combinations till you come to one thats close. A good amp is a must.
