With much appreciation, I wish to thank S. Chapple of the Elkhart Lake Historic Race Circuits Preservation Society and T. Schultz, the Road America Track Historian. Mr. Schultz narrowed the date of the race to 1952 and Mr. Chapple found the exact date:

The race in your film is the Elkhart Lake Cup race, the main event held on Sunday, September 7, 1952. The initial footage is shot on CTH P near the Theel farm and at the Marsh Turn a sharp right hand turn off CTH P onto CTH J.
